This Heatwave Policy outlines the measures and procedures our setting implements to protect children, staff, and visitors during periods of extreme heat. It covers guidelines for hydration, sun protection, indoor and outdoor temperature management, activity adjustments, and staff responsibilities. The policy ensures compliance with health and safety regulations by minimising heat-related risks such as dehydration, heat exhaustion, and sunburn.
