Menopause Policy for Early Years Settings, Schools and Childminders (2025)

A Menopause Policy to support female employees going through menopause.
Our Menopause Policy supports staff in early years settings with understanding, flexibility, and wellbeing practices to manage symptoms and promote inclusion. Given that menopause is a natural stage in a woman’s life, bringing about various physical, mental, and emotional changes, a policy like this acknowledges and addresses the potential challenges faced by women in the workplace due to menopausal symptoms.
We recognise the importance of supporting the health and wellbeing of our team members at every stage of life. Our Menopause Policy outlines how we provide a compassionate and inclusive working environment for staff experiencing perimenopause or menopause. We understand that symptoms such as fatigue, anxiety, hot flushes, and difficulty concentrating can affect day-to-day life, and we are committed to offering practical support and open, respectful communication. Whether through flexible adjustments, understanding individual needs, or simply creating space for honest conversations, our aim is to remove the stigma surrounding menopause in the workplace. This policy reflects our values of empathy, professionalism, and wellbeing, and helps ensure a positive working culture in our early years setting.
