Talk like a Pirate Day was created in 1995 by John Bauer (Ol’ Chumbucket) and Mark Summers (Cap’n Slappy), who proclaimed September 19th each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate.

Treasure Hunt: Organize a simple treasure hunt in your setting. You can create a map for children to follow, and hide “treasure” (like stickers or small toys) for them to find.
