Fundamental British Values Policy for Early Years Settings and Childminders (2025)

This is an example Fundamental British Values Policy.
This Fundamental British Values Policy outlines how our early years setting actively promotes democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of different beliefs. In line with the EYFS Statutory Framework and the Prevent Duty, we embed these values into daily routines, activities, and interactions to help children become respectful, confident individuals. This policy demonstrates how we teach fairness, encourage independence, celebrate diversity, and build a culture of inclusion and safety from the earliest stages of learning.
